Flag pallet sign decorations for the Fourth of July.
I freshened up my pallet flag signs I had originally made 2 years ago, one for our home and a second one for my daughter. Just days before the Fourth of July! Whew!
Merrills bird feeder. He’s had this project on my honey-do list to repaint. That poor thing has been sitting in my studio since last fall. She is done! (insert checkmark).
My new-to-me farmhouse table!
Sneak peak of my new-to-me Farmhouse table! She is so close to being done!
I painted the chairs and table top in Caviar, Dixie Belle’s black. I love how it turned out. I used Gatorhide top coat. Merrill thought it would look great if I stained the skirt of the table instead of painting it black to match. So we compromised. I am staining the skirt and if we (or I) change our mind, I will go back and repaint it black at a later date. No big deal!
I am planning the full reveal next week.
My studio sneak peak! I have a “Happy Corner” just as you enter my room. I love how bright and cheery this area is!
Finally, my studio is 95% complete! It was a disaster zone and it’s still partially being used as storage, but now it’s manageable. I have 2 walls I can now use to stage for photos.
Having more than one wall or area will be handy. This will give me flexibility so I can take photos of the projects I complete in different settings.
I’ll also be able to do more variety of mockup photos, in these areas for my Etsy page, Midwest Market Studio and here on my website.
I sell Mock Ups here on my website and on my Etsy store, Midwest Market Studio. You can click on the picture to take you to my Etsy store.
This is where I sell Mock Up photos for others who sell digital products online (like me!). Mock Ups helps to show the sellers’ potential customers what their product would look like in their home or office.
Back to my studio, I also have the closet cleaned out and it is now being used to store my props that I will use in my photos. And it’s handy having them in there so my hubby doesn’t see how much I have!
I still need another coat of paint on my shelves that I will be using to store my paint over my craft table.
Here, is a short clip on my YouTube channel, Melissa Peterson Designs, of my new workspace! Just click the arrow and you can take a virtual tour!
Let me know what you think! I still have more decorating to do, but I always seem to draw this out until I get a feel for how I want the room I’m working on to look. I guess it’s “my process”.
I am currently reading…
Well, my current audiobook I am working on is the ‘Latte Factor’ by David Bach and John Mann and I will admit I didn’t get very far this week! It always happens on short weeks when my hubby is home. I call it “Merrill time”.
He is in and out so much the interruptions are not worth it so this week I stuck to a few short podcasts! I’ll start back up next week when I can get back into my routine!
Hope you had a great long fun-filled weekend and a safe celebration for the Fourth of July.
Drop me a note on what you’re up to and let me know if you see any projects you’d like to see me try! I have a few in the works now that I am caught up on my “honey do” list.
Until next Sunday,
