Let’s make our Fall Garland
Sometimes when you’re in a funk, it just feels good to be busy!
And crafting is always the perfect pick-me-up!
First, I gathered all my supplies plus my horrible scissors (I really need a new pair)!
Next I measured, with the jute rope, the area where I wanted the Fall Garland to hang.
Using a permanent marker, I marked the areas on the jute rope where I would tie the knot to hang on each end.
Then I folded the jute rope in half and marked the middle.
At first I debated I on using the burlap pennants as is, but I decided against this and cut the pennants apart.
I started out with 5 burlap pennants.
Assembling our Fall Garland
First I grabbed my Fall assorted leaves and picked 5 leaves and went about hot gluing them, carefully, onto the pennants.
Once these were all glued on and dry or cool, I then applied a thin line of glue on the back of the pennants and then placed the jute rope string on the glue.
I started with the middle of the jute rope first applying the first burlap pennant, then I adjusted the metal letters on each side of this first pennant.
The corrugated metal letters have a hanger on the back, I threaded the letters on to the jute rope so they spelled out FALL.
Then I applied a little hot glue to the back of each of these metal letters to prevent them from sliding around on the jute rope when they were hung.
Next, I moved over past the metal letter and applied another burlap pendants and so on until there was a burlap pennant on each side of one fo the metal letters!
That was all I did to complete my Fall Garland!

Ideas for embellishing our Fall Garland
After this craft was all done, I started getting ideas on how I could embellish my garland.
One idea is adding rustic bows, or a couple of strips of fabric tied along the garland.
Another idea, add wood beads throughout the garland.
I think having 3 to 5 wood beads threaded throughout the garland would look really cute!
Currently I am using these S hooks to hang my garlands.
This weekend, I plan to take them outside and spray paint them white so they blend in with the mantle!
