October is almost over, unreal! I am so ready for Christmas but I love Fall and the cooler weather. This month is also breast cancer awareness month and perfect timing, my mammogram was scheduled this past week!
Personally, I do not mind this procedure. Especially since it takes minutes to complete. I arrived for my appointment at 7:45 am and I was done and back in my dressing room before 8. Which I documented in one of my InstaStorys in my October album on Instagram and a mini Facebook live..
One thing to remember when going to your appointment is to wear comfortable clothing.
This is not the day to wear a dress. When you are taken to the dressing room, you will be given a buttoned down front “top” to put on. You will also be provided towelettes to remove any perfume and deodorant from the underarm and breast area so as not to interfere with the test.
I have now had three exams, and each time the staff have been wonderful and discrete. If your doctor recommends a mammogram, please don’t hesitate. Even my daughter who is in her mid-20’s has been advised by her physician to have annual mammograms. They can be life-saving.
Until next time,
