I love what I do!
I love making personalized signs for someones home or to give as gifts, designing graphics for others to craft with, and painting!

Each personalized sign I work on, is my favorite! Truth! The paint brand I used is Dixie Belle paints and I used General Finishes Flat out Flat top coat. Click on the picture for link to GF Flat out Flat Top Coat.
Nothing thrills me more than putting a smile on someones face or getting “happy mail” stating how much my work has made them or those they gave to, thrilled!
In my last message I was told the recipient was in tears!
On average, I accept four requests a month and this season I managed to fit in 9 personalized requests for others to give as gifts for wedding, anniversary or bridal showers and I was ecstatic how each one turned out!
I’ve put together my 2019 collection in a video on my YouTube channel, Melissa Peterson Designs. I hope while you’re there, you’ll subscribe to my channel AND hit the notification bell!
My YouTube channel is a work in progress and I do have big plans but just like learning anything new, you just have to dig in and make mistakes!
Hopefully mine aren’t too bad! Click below to see this years Spring Collection.
Let me know what you think. If you signed in at YouTube you can leave comments there also!
In the meantime, I’m plugging away painting my craft room (aka studio).
It’s almost done. The reason it’s taking me so long, I am cleaning as I go plus moving the items that are stored in there out of the way as I make progress. Rinse and repeat as I get one are of the room done and have to move onto the next!
And I have a lot of stuff to move around! I feel like I’m playing some sort of musical chairs!
I’ve also managed to sneak in some painting time on my new-to-me “Farmhouse” dining room table. This table has been in the family for years. Decades? LOL!
Overall, the table was in great shape, no veneer just solid wood, which surprised me and I probably could have sanded more and re-stained for a smoother finish but I wanted a somewhat rustic but nice looking farmhouse table!
I’ll share pictures of her when she is all done!
I finished my audiobook, ‘Girl, Stop Apologizing’ by Rachel Hollis and started the ‘Latte Factor’ by David Bach and John Mann. The Latte Factor is a book about financial advice but so far it’s being told as a story. It’s interesting format. I have links to both books included here. If you’re interested, click over and you can get it for yourself. The great thing about Amazon, if your not an audiobook reader, they usually have other options such as hard or soft cover, used or new available too! Let me know if you have any recommendations for my next book! I’d love to hear from you!
Hope you have a great week, drop me a note on what you’re up to and let me know if you see any projects you’d like me to try!
Until next Sunday,
xoxo
Melissa
